| Web
Process
We can create a new website from the ground
up or revamp an existing site. Our initial consultation with
you is free. The web design and web development process typically
includes the following steps:
- Your objectives and needs.
Define the elements of your website. For a list of questions
we commonly ask, see our web design consultation questions.
- Review any existing materials.
Next, we review any existing text and graphics you have
and would like to use.
- Agree on the project scope.
We then determine the number of web pages, graphics, and
any other services you may need, such as web hosting and
website promotion. Based on our understanding of your requirements,
we will prepare a written proposal.
- Register your domain name
if you have not already done so.
- Design, develop, and test your website.
We now design and web develop the structure / sitemap, web
page layout, content, and graphics. A draft version of your
website will be available for your review. At this point,
you'll tell us what changes are needed and we can incorporate
them.
- Upload your site to your hosting
provider. After the final version of your website
is completed and tested, it will be uploaded to a web server
and retested. We can recommend a hosting provider for you
if you currently don't have one. If you will be selling
products or services on your website, we can setup your
online store.
- Maintain your
website (optional). A website must be kept up-to-date
to keep your clients coming back. We can make cost-effective
changes to the content on your website, monitor site traffic,
and check rankings in the search engines.
